RAPLIQ
Support and advocacy in defense of the rights of people with disabilities (PWD)
TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE THINGS!
RAPLIQ supports
RAPLIQ is a Quebec-wide organization that supports and assists people with disabilities who are victims of discrimination to defend and claim their rights and to promote them by aiming to eradicate this discrimination too often made against them.
RAPLIQ claims
The accessibility of all buildings receiving the public, particularly the clinics of general practitioners or other specialists, shelters for women victims of violence, polling stations for each election, a reform of the Quebec Construction Code as well as the withdrawal of the exemptions linked to the accessibility obligations of the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec.
Our manifesto
Our Global Refusal, our revolutionary manifesto
We are all from the 20th and 21st century. We were born here and elsewhere. We speak thousands of languages. We are rich and poor. Our loves are celebrated and taboo. We have multiple identities. Our voices are plural. We live in a land today called Quebec and we show solidarity beyond all borders. We are visible and invisible. Many of us carry the stigma of the disabled because of the difference in our bodies and minds compared to the standards often perceived as natural, ideal and imperative.
We fight so that our visible and often invisible differences are recognized and valued in order to live without the breathless and oppressive task.
